Hagalkayee rings / Karela rings


Wanted to try something different with karela. So thought of trying to fry them.

Ingredients: -
1-2 medium size Karelas
1/2 cup Besan
2 tsp chili Powder
1 tsp Salt
Oil - for deep frying

Method: -
1. Cut the Karela into thin round pieces.
2. Remove the seeds to form the rings.
3. Mix besan, salt and chili power and make the batter.
4. Dip the Karela pieces into the batter & mix well until well coated.
5. Deep fry one hand full at a time.
6. Wipe the fried karelas with a paper towel, to remove excess oil.
7. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
