I received my blood test reports on Tuesday. To my surprise my blood count had gone down from 12.8 to 11.7, even after taking iron. So I thought eating more green vegetables would probably bring back the iron count. The doc continuously tells me that my weight is being transfered to the baby. I don't have to worry about weight loss after pregnancy as I've hardly put on weight. The baby is doing fine though, gaining weight as intended.
I got the recipe to make this refreshing juice from Hot 'N' Sweet Bowl. Sukanya says the juice tasted like pani poori water.
This will be my entry to Anu's Refreshing Drinks for summer.
Ingredients: -
1 cup Spinach
4-5 fresh mint leaves (I used fresh leaves from the garden)
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp cumin powder
Water
1 tsp Kala namak
Method: -
1. Clean the spinach & mint leaves.
2. Using a mixer or blender blend them with little water to the required consistency.
3. Add cumin powder, lemon juice & kala namak & run the blender again. Sukanya has mentioned to strain the juice before serving. I din’t strain it as I wanted to also consume the leaves.
4. Serve cold.
